Personal Dr.Web products for Windows updated

October 17, 2011

Doctor Web updated several software components included in Dr.Web single-user products from the series 7 for Windows.

The updating module issues that sometimes might make updating virus databases impossible have been resolved.

A critical issue that caused incompatibility between the Dr.Web firewall and the PowerDVD driver by CyberLink has also been resolved.

Dr.Web license registration interface errors have been fixed. An issue that caused abnormal termination of Dr.Web SpIDer Agent upon receipt of a message whose header or body size exceeded the current buffer size has been resolved.

Additionally, the update fixes an error that made Dr.Web for MS Outlook non-operational under 64-bit versions of Windows and resolves the issue when delete and quarantine actions weren't applied to infected objects.

Issues related to language resources have also been resolved. An error when help information on the block page was displayed in Russian regardless of the interface language settings has been fixed. And an error when Dr.Web plugin for MS Outlook settings were displayed in English, regardless of the chosen interface language ihas also been corrected.

The update will be automatically downloaded by the anti-viruses but applying the update will require a system reboot.
