Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite updated

October 18, 2011

Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite is a flagship product by Doctor Web that maintains end-point security for a large number of large busniesses and government organization in Russia and other countries. Ease of deployment, configuration and administration is one of the competitive advantages of the anti-virus suite, along with its efficiency, versatility and multi-platform architecture.

The most important innovation delivered with the update is the expanded feature list of the Dr.Web Control Center. Now it supports automatic administrator authorization, allows one to launch the Scanner and create schedules for anti-virus software installed on Linux and Mac OS X machines and also export selected files from the quarantine on a target machine to the Enterprise Server.

A list of supported Linux distributions for the server and proxy-server has been expanded. The new version installer can generate the esinst package that will be used to install Dr.Web Enterprise Agent.

Dr.Web Enterprise Agent will be updated automatically; however, a system restart is required to apply the update. If you update the server software 5.0 or 6.0 for the same platform, launching the installer will start updating automatically. In other cases you will need to remove the older version of the server and install the new one manually. It is also recommended to read the latest documentation before you update.

A complete list of changes and fixes delivered with Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 6.02 can be found in the release notes.
