Dr.Web AV-Desk to Protect Ukrainian Users

September 5, 2011

Doctor Web — the leader on the Russian Internet anti-virus service market — announces another deployment of the Dr.Web AV-Desk service in the Ukraine. As an authorized provider of Dr.Web services, the computer service FREEDOM offers Kherson residents the opportunity to get first-class virus protection on a subscription basis.

The delivery of a licensed anti-virus as a service is getting increasingly popular for both end-users and ISP companies in the Ukrainian IT market. FREEDOM implemented the deployment within two months, and, starting from the very first days of service, its subscribers have seen the stability and ease of obtaining information security through the innovative SaaS model.

To subscribe to the service, just go to "My Account", and choose the package you need: Dr.Web Classic (anti-virus + firewall), Dr.Web Standard (anti-virus + anti-spam + firewall), or Dr.Web Premium (comprehensive protection). The anti-virus subscription fee is debited from subscriber accounts on a monthly basis, which, on the one hand, allows subscribers to receive a high-quality service without significant non-recurring expenses, and, on the other hand, makes anti-virus protection more convenient and flexible.

"With the Dr.Web AV-Desk service, our subscribers get comprehensive anti-virus protection with maximum ease of installation and use. A specific setting is required for obsolete and slow PCs, but our managers are always ready to help in such situations. The service’s ability to continuously monitor virus activities lets us respond to virus outbreaks in a timely fashion and provide continuous feedback to users", commented Sergei Osipenko, FREEDOM’s director, on the Internet service’s deployment.

Dr.Web’s high level of protection and exceptional performance allow the Ukrainian ISP to offer its customers a guaranteed efficient service and to take another step towards combating the spread of pirated software.

About the Dr.Web AV-Desk Internet Service

Doctor Web was the first anti-virus vendor to offer an anti-virus as a service on the Russian market.

The deployment of Dr.Web AV-Desk lets a service provider’s subscribers use the Dr.Web Anti-virus as a service: they can choose how long they want to subscribe, renew their subscriptions automatically, and that means, they can decide for themselves how much they want to spend on anti-virus security. Providing an anti-virus as a service ensures its instant delivery and easy subscription management for home users and business customers. The Dr.Web AV-Desk Internet service was created by Doctor Web in 2007. The number of service providers that deliver the Dr.Web AV-Desk service in different regions of Russia and also in the Ukraine, France, Spain, Netherlands, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Bulgaria and Estonia exceeds 350. Following results shown by the service in 2007, Dr.Web AV-Desk was named the “best product offered as a service” by PC Magazine Russia. In September 2008, Dr.Web AV-Desk was awarded the Grand Gold Medal for “most original scientific and technical solution in communications technology” at the ITE Siberian Fair.

The FREEDOM computer service provides Kherson users with a high-quality computer service that is available to both large companies and home users. The service specializes in Dr.Web anti-virus protection and curing users' computers.
