Dr.Web AV-Desk: Sunline Has Deployed the Internet Service in Kiev

July 18, 2011

Doctor Web, the Russian market leader of Internet anti-virus security services, announces the deployment of Dr.Web AV-Desk by the Ukrainian company Sunline. It took just a few days for the provider to deploy and configure the Doctor Web Internet service on its own server capacity. At the end of the test period, thousands more of Kiev’s residents obtained access to the Dr.Web Anti-virus service.

The provider's customers can choose one of three subscription packages: Dr.Web Classic will provide them with basic protection against malware; Dr.Web Standard includes an anti-spam feature, and Dr.Web Premium, in turn, is enhanced with an HTTP monitor and a parental control module. According to Sunline experts, this subscription range fully meets the needs of its subscribers, but, if necessary, will be expanded depending upon the statistics collected.

The direct installation of Dr.Web AV-Desk and its integration with the provider were implemented within three days. The test period lasted less than three weeks, during which time Sunline experts fully explored the possibilities of the Internet service and made it commercially ready. Sunline expects that, due to its low cost and the ease of subscribing, the Dr.Web Anti-virus service will become very popular among the company's customers.

"Today, in an era of widespread Internet penetration, an urgent need persists to protect personal and business information from network attacks. Thanks to the deployment of Dr.Web AV-Desk, Sunline customers are able to protect their computers right from home and without wasting time looking for anti-virus", says Oleg Smychok, Deputy Director of Sunline.net.ua. "Dr.Web AV-Desk is is a fully primed and time-tested service with which we could expand our list of services."

About the Dr.Web AV-Desk Internet service

Doctor Web was the first anti-virus vendor to offer an anti-virus as a service on the Russian market.

The deployment of Dr.Web AV-Desk lets a service provider’s subscribers use the Dr.Web Anti-virus as a service: they can choose how long they want to subscribe, renew their subscriptions automatically, and that means, they can decide for themselves how much they want to spend on anti-virus security. Providing an anti-virus as a service ensures its instant delivery and easy subscription management for home users and business customers. The Dr.Web AV-Desk Internet service was created by Doctor Web in 2007. Today, the number of service providers delivering the Dr.Web AV-Desk service in different regions of Russia and in the Ukraine, France, Spain, Netherlands, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Bulgaria, and Estonia exceeds 250. Following results shown by the service in 2007, Dr.Web AV-Desk was named “best product offered as a service” by PC Magazine Russia. In September 2008, Dr.Web AV-Desk was awarded the Grand Gold Medal for “most original scientific and technical solution in communications technology” at the ITE Siberian Fair.
