The update for Dr.Web for Android allows users to save their traffic—now virus database updates can be downloaded via direct connection to a computer, if the mobile device supports this feature. See the May 31, 2011 news post for more details. Following Dr.Web for Android Light the commercial version of the product gets Korean language support.
Several changes have been done to the anti-spam incorporated into Dr.Web for Android. So, an issue when a call could be received even if all incoming calls were barred has been resolved. Improvements have been done to the routines for processing blocked calls and short messages.
Besides, discovered errors including those that caused abnormal termination of the program on certain device models have been fixed.
Dr.Web for Android Anti-virus&Anti-spam will be updated automatically. However, if automatic updating is disabled, go to the Android Market, select Dr.Web Anti-virus from the list of applications and click on the Update button.
In order to update via Doctor Web’s site you need to download a new distribution file.
