Until now, in order to download or update Dr.Web for UNIX, users had to download the distributions from Doctor Web's site. The repositories make installation and upgrading Dr.Web products easier, so users only need to enter one command in the command prompt. Yet you are still free to choose to download a distribution file from the web-site or make use of the repository.
The repositories are available for the following operating systems:
- Debian, Ubuntu;
- ALT Linux, PCLinuxOS;
- Mandriva;
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Fedora, CentOS;
- SUSE Linux;
- FreeBSD;
- Solaris.
This innovation simplifies installation of Dr.Web for UNIX but also makes the products more user-friendly.
