Updated components for Dr.Web 6.0 for Windows and Dr.Web Enterprise Suite 6.0 released

March 24, 2011

Doctor Web implemented a separate database of unwanted resources in its HTTP-monitor SpIDer Gate and released updates for several other components incorporated into single-user and server products of the 6.0 series for Windows and Dr.Web Enterprise Suite 6.0. The anti-virus modules received a number of additions and improvements while known errors have been fixed. The changes improve stability and usability of the anti-virus.

In addition to the database the HTTP-monitor now also enjoys a refined and improved graphical user interface for notifications upon detection of malicious objects. A memory leak issue related to the URL-based filtering of IP addresses has been resolved.

The update improves stability of the SpIDer Agent. Users can now edit and copy the file monitor's exceptions list, the issue when the directory tree didn't appear in the scan exceptions window has been resolved. A routine for closing multiple pop-ups for blocked computers has been optimized.

The updating module has become more stable and can now switch to a different updating server if the current one has an older time stamp. An issue when scanning could start without updating virus databases has been resolved.

All language resources in personal and server Dr.Web products 6.0 for Windows have been updated.

Dr.Web Enterprise Suite 6.0 also received an updated mail monitor — now the suite and Dr.Web 6.0 products for Windows PCs and servers use the same mail monitor.

The update will be downloaded and installed automatically.
