Version 2.0 is the latest release of Dr.Web Katana.

This software product acts as an auxiliary antivirus "shield" and incorporates Doctor Web’s most advanced preventive protection technologies in order to augment the security provided by other vendors’ solutions. Dr.Web Katana protects user files from encryption ransomware and blocks active threats, including zero-day vulnerability exploits and malicious programs that evade signature-based detection. To address all of today’s cybersecurity challenges, version 2.0 offers users the most effective threat detection technologies, optimised system performance, and an updated interface.

Updating Dr.Web Katana to version 2.0

Dr.Web will notify you that you need to restart your computer to install the updated program modules.

If your operating system does not support the SHA-256 hash algorithm, you won’t be able to update Dr.Web Katana to the latest version. Install the recommended operating system updates, restart your computer, and try updating Dr.Web again.

If for some reason you are unable to update the product, download the distribution package from our website and run the installer. The old version will be removed automatically during installation. If you run into difficulties, please contact our Technical Support Service.

Important!

In many ways, Dr.Web Katana is similar to Dr.Web Security Space. That's why you don't need to use Dr.Web Katana if Dr.Web Security Space is installed on your device—all of its key security technologies are already protecting your system.
