More improvements in home and corporate Dr.Web products

November 17, 2022

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated Dr.Web 12.0 applications for Windows, Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 12.0 and 13.0, and Dr.Web AV-Desk 13.0’s subscription-based Dr.Web Anti-virus software to deliver two major quality improvements for the products.

Now, if the command-line option LN is used, the scanner will analyse the applications’ shortcuts along with the respective target file. In addition, TLS 1.3 is now supported so that traffic transmitted over secure connections under Windows 11 can be scanned.

On top of that, adjustments have been made to the applications’ logging functionality.

Important! The option allowing archived files to be excluded from scanning by using a corresponding file mask (please refer to our earlier publication for more details) is temporarily unavailable due to software issues.

The update will be performed automatically; however, a system reboot will be required.
