Doctor Web invites users to beta test its Dr.Web Anti-virus 11.1 for Linux with new extra features

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web is always hard at work improving its applications to meet current market demand. Every user can make their contribution to the development of anti-virus technologies by testing new versions of Dr.Web products.

Currently, Doctor Web is inviting users to participate in the beta testing of its Dr.Web Anti-virus 11.1 for Linux, which has been enhanced with new components and features. All beta-testing participants will get:

  • access to new Dr.Web features ahead of other users;
  • an opportunity to play a part in developing an information security solution;
  • the ability to relay to the developers your ideas about future application design and features.

Defects and issues discovered by the testers will be fixed promptly. Then an improved version of the product will be made available to a wider audience. Dr.Web for Linux provides multi-layer protection against all types of threats, including malicious programs designed specifically for Linux. What's new in version 11.1:

  • a new component that allows devices to be controlled/blocked;
  • the ability to add emails to scanning queues;
  • integration with Dr.Web vxCube for in-depth examinations of email attachments;
  • an updated version of the CommuniGate Pro plugin;
  • Samba 4.16 support in Dr.Web Anti-virus for Unix Server;
  • notifications about license expirations and outdated virus databases;
  • support for ppc64le.

Please note that the beta version of Dr.Web Anti-virus 11.1 for Linux:

  • Can only be used for testing.
  • Should not be used as an application that provides continuous anti-virus protection.
  • Must be removed as soon as beta testing is over.

Doctor Web is not be responsible for any issues that may arise on testers' computers in connection with the beta-version.
