Decreased malicious activity, threats in email traffic and other events of June 2022

Doctor Web presents its June virus activity review. According to the statistics we collected, the overall number of threats detected last month decreased, compared to May. With this, adware and unwanted software remain among the most widespread threats. In email traffic, diverse malware, including trojans, exploits and malicious scripts, were most often observed.
The number of user requests to decrypt files affected by encoders increased, compared to May. At the same time, the activity of Internet fraudsters who distribute spam emails containing links to scam websites remains at high level. Over the month of June, our specialists discovered many malicious apps on Google Play. Read more about these and other events in our June virus review.
