Components updated in Dr.Web 12.0 for Windows, Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 12.0 and 13.0, and Dr.Web AV-Desk 13.0’s subscription-based Dr.Web Anti-virus software

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated Dr.Web Anti-rootkit API (12.6.20.202206081) and the self-protection module Dr.Web Protection for Windows (12.06.13.06070) in Dr.Web Security Space 12.0, Dr.Web Anti-virus 12.0, Dr.Web Anti-virus 12.0 for Windows Servers, and Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 12.0 and 13.0, and also in Dr.Web AV-Desk 13.0’s subscription-based Dr.Web Anti-virus software. The update resolves known software issues and delivers upgrades.

Changes made to Dr.Web Anti-rootkit API:

  • The stability of the applications has been improved;
  • An issue preventing users from signing in to Windows 10 computers with GCPW (Google Credential Provider for Windows) has been resolved;
  • Also eliminated was a defect involving long registry paths.

Changes made to Dr.Web Protection for Windows:

  • Behaviour analysis routines have been enhanced;
  • An issue preventing users from signing in to Windows 10 computers with GCPW (Google Credential Provider for Windows) has been resolved;
  • A defect causing the Data Loss Prevention exception list to be disregarded when WSL 1 (Windows Subsystem for Linux) was being used under Windows 10 has been corrected.

The update will be downloaded and installed automatically; however, a system restart will be required.
