Doctor Web is pleased to present its May 2022 mobile malware activity review. Last month, according to the detection statistics collected by Dr.Web for Android products, the Android.Spy.4498 trojan remained the most common Android threat. This malware hijacks information from other apps’ notifications. At the same time, its activity continues to gradually decrease. With that, Android.HiddenAds adware trojans increased their activity compared to April. Also within the month of May, Doctor Web malware analysts discovered new malicious apps on Google Play.
