Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has released a repair tool that fixes an issue affecting Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 13.0 and Dr.Web AV-Desk 13.0's subscription-based Dr.Web Anti-virus software on machines running Windows Vista (SP2+)/7 (SP1+)/8/8.1 and Windows Server 2008 (SP2+)/2008 R2 (SP1+)/ 2012/2012 R2.

Dr.Web Control Service update files lacking a valid digital signature were uploaded to our update servers by mistake. As a result, the service could not be started after the update was applied. The respective signature-less files were made available between 8.23 and 10.59 a.m. GMT on March 11.

The repair tool can be downloaded here. If an unsigned Dr.Web Control Service version is present in a system, the utility will replace the file with a signed version. Changes will take effect automatically. No system restart will be required.

Please note that you need to run the repair tool as administrator.

Doctor Web apologises for any inconvenience.
