An increase in malware activity and other events of January 2022

Doctor Web presents its January 2022 virus activity review. The total number of unique detected threats decreased compared to December. According to statistics, adware and unwanted programs continue to be popular threats. Trojan-downloaders were most often distributed in email traffic. User requests to decrypt files affected by encoders increased by almost 53.72% compared to December. Read more about these and other events in our January virus review.
