An increase in malware activity and other events of December 2021

Doctor Web presents its December 2021 virus activity review. The total number of unique detected threats decreased compared to November. According to statistics, adware and unwanted programs continue to be popular threats. Backdoors were most often distributed in email traffic. User requests to decrypt files affected by encoders decreased by almost 41.3% compared to November. Read more about these and other events in our December virus review.
