Components updated in Dr.Web 12.0 for Windows, Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 12.0 and 13.0, and Dr.Web AV-Desk 13.0`s subscription-based Dr.Web Anti-virus software
January 25, 2022
Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated Dr.Web Net Filtering Service (12.5.13.01170) and Dr.Web Shellguard anti-exploit module (12.06.08.01210)in Dr.Web Security Space 12.0, Dr.Web Anti-virus 12.0, Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 12.0 and 13.0, and in Dr.Web AV-Desk 13.0’s subscription-based Dr.Web Anti-virus software. The update resolves a performance issue affecting Dr.Web-protected computers.
Specifically, it addresses a filtering service defect that under certain circumstances might increase the system's CPU load.
It also resolves an anti-exploit module issue causing Adobe Reader 9.5.0 to terminate abnormally and other trusted applications to potentially experience a similar problem.
The update will be performed automatically; however, a system reboot will be required.
