January 17, 2022
Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated the amsi-client module (12.5.8.202112200), Dr.Web Net Filtering Service (12.5.12.12270) and Dr.Web Shellguard anti-exploit module (12.06.05.12220) in Dr.Web Security Space 12.0, Dr.Web Anti-virus 12.0, Dr.Web Anti-virus 12.0 for Windows Servers, and Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 12.0 and 13.0, and also in Dr.Web AV-Desk 13.0’s subscription-based Dr.Web Anti-virus software.The update delivers minor tweaks and upgrades and resolves a known software issue.
Specifically, adjustments have been made to the amsi-client module to optimize the applications’ performance and reduce the CPU load on protected machines interacting with Microsoft Exchange Server.
Furthermore, the update addresses a Dr.Web Shellguard anti-exploit module issue that might cause browsers to terminate abnormally on machines based on CPUs supporting Shadow Stack.
The update will be downloaded and installed automatically; however, a system reboot will be required.
