Support for macOS 12 and other innovations in Dr.Web 12.5.1 for macOS

October 25, 2021

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated Dr.Web Security Space for macOS to version 12.5.1. Now the application supports the new Apple operating system version: macOS 12 Monterey.

The successor to macOS Big Sur, this latest macOS release incorporates dozens of innovations. The Dr.Web software update, delivering support for macOS 12 Monterey, is made available to concur with its official release.

It is also worth mentioning that Dr.Web notifications are now part of UserNotifications.framework. Their behaviour will now be consistent with user-defined parameters that can be set in the system settings' Notifications section.

In addition, the routine for determining the number of selected items on the detected threats list has been revamped.

To upgrade to Dr.Web Security Space 12.5.1 for macOS, users need to download the new distribution file and install the application on their Macs.
