An increase in malware activity and other events of September 2021

Doctor Web presents its September 2021 virus activity review. The total number of unique detected threats decreased compared to August. According to statistics, adware and unwanted programs continue to be popular threats. Malicious files and backdoors were most often distributed in email traffic. User requests to decrypt files affected by encoders decreased by almost 11.8% compared to August. Read more about these and other events in our September virus review.
