Dr.Web Security Space for Android updated to version 12.6.11

October 4, 2021

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated Dr.Web Security Space for Android to version 12.6.11. The update resolves identified issues in the application's operation.

Specifically, the routines that monitor file modifications in a phone’s memory have been adjusted to avoid errors when Android system apps are being updated. Furthermore, a defect causing the application to terminate abnormally if the firewall was being used has been eliminated. The update also introduces minor tweaks for the URL-filter.

Please note that the latest application version will only become available on Google Play after it has been reviewed.

If you downloaded the Dr.Web application from Google Play, the updates will be downloaded and installed automatically. If you’ve disabled automatic updating on your device, go to Google Play, select the Dr.Web Security Space or Dr.Web Security Space Life icon in the application list, and tap "Update”.

To update the app via the Doctor Web site, you need to download a new distribution file and run it on your device. If you’ve enabled the “New app version” option in the settings, a notification will be displayed whenever the virus databases are updated. You can start the download directly from this dialogue box.
