The application's compatibility with Android’s accessibility features has been improved.
To neutralise banking trojans in a more effective way, malware can now be removed without user confirmation by tapping “Delete”. Note that banking trojans remain one of the most common and severe threats—they steal users’ confidential information and money.
SpIDer Guard upgrades
Adjustments have been made to the file monitor SpIDer Guard to speed up scanning and reduce the application's memory footprint.
Setting up the Call and SMS filter is now less time-consuming.
Users can now set Dr.Web as the default Call and SMS filtering app right in the anti-virus’s interface—without navigating through system menus.
Changes made to the Firewall and URL filter
The update resolves known software issues involving the module's abnormal termination, a traffic blocking problem, and a defect preventing firewall rules from being saved correctly.
Furthermore, URL filter issues causing access to websites to be blocked in an untimely manner (while a web address was being entered) have been resolved. Also addressed was a Yandex.Browser category-based blocking problem.
If you downloaded the Dr.Web application from Google Play, the updates will be downloaded and installed automatically. If automatic updates are disabled on your device, go to Google Play, select Dr.Web Security Space Life on the application list, and tap "Update."
To update the app via the Doctor Web site, you need to download a new distribution file and run it on your device. If you’ve enabled the “New app version” option in the settings, a notification will be displayed whenever the virus databases are updated. You can start the download directly from this dialogue box.
