Adjustments have been made to Dr.Web Shellguard anti-exploit module, Dr.Web Device Guard for Windows, Dr.Web File System Monitor, Dr.Web Firewall for Windows driver and Dr.Web Protection for Windows so that they will be compatible with soon-to-be-released Windows 10 version 21h2.
Other changes affecting Dr.Web Firewall for Windows driver:
- An issue preventing Serviio-powered DLNA servers from appearing on the VLC's list of available servers has been addressed.
Other changes made to Dr.Web Protection for Windows:
- The security of the applications has been improved.
Changes made to Dr.Web Net Filtering Service:
- Routines involving rules for applications on the exceptions list have been upgraded.
To avoid possible errors, the Dr.Web removal utility now checks whether the self-protection component is active. If self-protection is enabled, the software cannot be removed. Previous drweb-remover builds will become unusable after this update. The utility can be downloaded from Doctor Web’s site. It is also available as part of Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 12.0 and Dr.Web AV-Desk 13.0.
The components will be updated automatically; however, a system reboot will be required.
