A dark theme and SpIDer Guard operational changes: Doctor Web invites users to beta test Dr.Web Light 12.0 for Android

April 23, 2021

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has announced the launch of beta testing for version 12 of its free anti-virus Dr.Web Light for Android. The main innovations include SpIDer Guard file monitor operational modifications and a revamped interface.

In the product’s new version, new files and applications can be scanned on user demand only; notifications on new files appear on the Dr.Web main screen and in the notification section. In turn, notifications now also look quite different.

In addition, our developers have revamped the program interface and added a dark theme that is activated immediately if the user has already applied the dark theme on their device. This option can also be enabled separately—in the "General settings" section.
