An increase in malware activity and other events of February 2021

Doctor Web presents its February 2021 overview of malware activity. In February, the total number of detected threats increased by more than a quarter compared to past month. According to statistics, adware remained among the most common threats. Malicious scripts, phishing webpages, and various modifications of packed malware dominated email traffic. User requests to decrypt files affected by encoders decreased by almost 20%. Read more about these and other events in our February review.
