Self-protection of Dr.Web for Windows enhanced

December 13, 2010

Doctor Web updated certain modules incorporated into Dr.Web personal and server anti-virus products for Windows series 6.0 and into Dr.Web Enterprise Suite 6.0.

With the new self-defence anti-viruses’ capabilities to protect themselves increase substantially. All the updated products are impregnable against malicious programs that might disrupt operation of Dr.Web.

The update also fixes an error of the Dr.Web for Windows HTTP-monitor that occurred when the module was used in the proxy mode.

Several tweaks have also been introduced for the updating utility including an improved routine for retrieval of corporate key files for single-user Dr.Web products and the updated messaging interface.

The Dr.Web Sysinfo utility has also been upgraded to collect more information about the system.

Language and help resources of personal and server products 6.0 for Windows have been updated.

The update will be automatically downloaded by the anti-viruses but applying the update will require a system reboot.
