In Dr.Web 12.0.0 for macOS, the application's main window is replaced with a unified agent interface that seamlessly integrates with the operating system and extends its functionality.
All the necessary actions are now accessible via the status menu—there is no need to stack additional windows on your desktop.
The firewall is another important innovation in Dr.Web 12.0.0. This component facilitates control over data exchanged between a Mac and the network.
Web camera and microphone protection ensures that no one gains unauthorised access to these devices (available in the releases up to macOS Catalina).
Other improvements
- Proxy-server settings can now be specified for virus database updates.
- Express scans now start faster.
Thanks to thorough performance optimisation, the application boasts even lower CPU and memory usage. Furthermore, the new version has eliminated an issue that prevented certain Apple applications from working properly when the option to scan TLS traffic was enabled.
To update Dr.Web for macOS to version 12.0.0, you need to download the new distribution.
