Doctor Web announced the release of the Linux version of Dr.Web 6.0 for Kerio mail servers.
The software product Dr.Web for Kerio mail servers is designed to scan mail traffic for viruses. If a threat is detected, actions are performed according to Kerio MailServer/Connect rules.
Integration enables an administrator who controls the software by means of the Web-administrator of the Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite Control Center to receive statistics and information about detected threats and actions taken to neutralize them from the anti-virus. In this case the anti-virus receives updates of the engine and virus databases from a local anti-virus server.
An issue that resulted in incompatibility of the anti-virus with Kerio MailServer 6.2.x has also been resolved.
In order to install the updated Dr.Web for Kerio MailServer under Linux you need to remove the previous version of the anti-virus.
Please note that under the new licensing policy you can use a key file of Dr.Web Mail Security Suite with the anti-virus for any supported platform: Unix, MS Exchange, IBM Lotus Domino and Kerio Versatile key files is the distinguishing feature of all products included in Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite.
