Dr.Web 6.0 for MS Exchange released

The Russian anti-virus vendor Doctor Web announced the release of the sixth version of Dr.Web for MS Exchange. Now the product provides protection for Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 and offers additional features for simpler administration and more reliable anti-virus protection of e-mail traffic.

Dr.Web for MS Exchange has proven to be an efficient tool protecting corporate e-mail traffic from viruses, spyware and spam. Easy installation and configuration, scalability and high performance make the product a perfect choice for a wide range of businesses. With the version 6.0 all cutting-edge Dr.Web technologies become accessible to users of MS Exchange 2010.

Compatibility of Dr.Web 6.0 for MS Exchange with the administrator web-console provides new opportunities for flexible configuration of the anti-virus through a web-browser.

Administrator privileges are no longer required to change the application service account parameters and to manage the application. At the same time a protocol for sending notifications about virus incidents can be selected.

Improvements have also been done to features already known to users. Default settings for transport and proactive scanning now ensure more efficient and reliable operation of the anti-virus and installation on Edge servers has been simplified.
