Scanner in Dr.Web 12.0 products for Windows updated

August 22, 2019

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated Dr.Web Scanner SE (12.0.6.08190) in its products Dr.Web Security Space 12.0, Dr.Web Anti-virus 12.0, and Dr.Web Anti-virus 12.0 for Windows Servers. The update delivers new features and resolves known issues.

Changes made to the scanner:

  • An issue preventing the scanner from being launched in safe mode has been resolved.
  • Now, if an administrator account is used to start the scanner, the UAC prompt to elevate privileges is not displayed.
  • Furthermore, environmental variables can now be used to specify scanning exceptions.
  • Minor scanner UI display issues have been resolved. UI elements now display properly on high-resolution screens.

The update will be downloaded and installed automatically.
