Dr.Web Anti-rootkit API updated in Dr.Web 12.0 products for Windows

July 4, 2019

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated the Dr.Web Anti-rootkit API (12.0.8.201906240) module in Dr.Web Security Space 12.0, Dr.Web Anti-virus 12.0 and Dr.Web 12.0 for Windows servers.

The update eliminates increased CPU and memory usage originating from the dwservice.exe process. The issue typically occurred under 64-bit editions of Windows 10.

Also resolved were the false positives generated by the "Preventive Protection" during installation of Google Backup and Sync.

The update will be downloaded and installed automatically.
