Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has released Dr.Web Anti-virus 11.1 for Unix Mail Servers, Dr.Web Anti-virus 11.1 for Linux, Dr.Web 11.1 for Unix Server and Dr.Web Anti-virus 11.1 for Internet gateways Unix. The major changes in the new versions include the addition of the amd64 scanning engine and email-filtering rules using Lua scripts (the new rule format simplifies software configuration).

Changes affecting all the products:

• Support has been added for Astra Linux 1.6, including for when the operating system is used in isolated environment mode;
• A scanning engine now exists for amd64;
• The amd64 packages no longer rely on libc (32-bit);
• The anti-virus engine is now shipped in a separate drweb-engine package;
• The components Dr.Web ConfigD and Dr.Web Ctl are delivered in separate packages;
• The installed products are supplemented with complete documentation for Dr.Web products for Unix-like systems;
• Optimised routines for neutralising threats and accessing and managing the quarantine;
• An upgraded drweb-ctl command-line interface;
• Optimised updating routines;
• An optimised mechanism for interacting with the centralised protection server;
• TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are no longer used;
• Whenever a threat is detected, the SHA-1 and SHA-256 checksums of the corresponding file are transmitted to the server;
• ELF executables for Astra Linux now use signatures.

New in Dr.Web 11.1 for Unix Mail Servers, Dr.Web 11.1 for Unix Server, and Dr.Web Anti-virus 11.1 for Internet gateways Unix:

• Dr.Web for Solaris is no longer available.

New in Dr.Web 11.1 for Unix Mail Servers:

• The Dr.Web MailD and SpIDer Gate components now use new site categories: online games, anonymisers, cryptocurrency mining pools;
• Scanning scripts can now be written in Lua for the following components:
  • Dr.Web Firewall (traffic);
  • Dr.Web MailD (email).
• In addition to LDAP, the following data sources can now be specified in traffic and email inspection rules: text files (may contain regular expressions and IP ranges) and MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, and Redis files.

New in Dr.Web 11.1 for Unix Server:

• The drweb-configure utility has been added for adjusting the application's settings; the Samba server integration script has been removed;
• Recompiled VFS SMB modules for Samba (versions below 3.6.0) are no longer included in the package.

New in Dr.Web 11.1 for Internet gateways Unix:

• The Dr.Web ICAPD and SpIDer Gate components now recognise new site categories: online games, anonymizers, and cryptocurrency mining pools;
• Traffic scan scripts for Dr.Web Firewall can now be written in Lua;
• In addition to LDAP, the following data sources can now be specified in traffic and Internet connection inspection rules: text files (may contain regular expressions and IP ranges) and MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, and Redis files.

New in Dr.Web 11.1 for Linux:

• Now compatible with Astra Linux when accounts with various access permissions (SpIDer Guard must operate in FANOTIFY mode) are in use.
• New site categories: online games, anonymisers, and cryptocurrency mining pools.
