Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated the Dr.Web Control Service (11.0.31.01170 and 11.0.30.01170), SpIDer Agent for Windows (11.0.24.01220), Dr.Web Firewall (11.1.8.12280), Dr.Web Firewall Driver (11.01.09.11030), Dr.Web Net filtering Service (11.1.15.01100), Dr.Web Scanning Engine (11.1.14.201802120), Dr.Web Protection for Windows (11.01.15.02190), Lua-script for dwprot (11.0.7.01310), Dr.Web Anti-rootkit API (11.1.16.201802191), as well as the components Dr.Web Thunderstorm Cloud Client SDK (11.0.5.01150), sysinfo (11.1.7.201802191) and drwbase (201801290), in a number of Dr.Web products. Furthermore, Dr.Web Enterprise Agent for Windows setup (11.0.10.02200) was updated in Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 10.0 and 10.1, while Dr.Web AV-Desk 10.0 and 10.1 have had Dr.Web AV-Desk Agent for Windows setup (11.0.10.02200) updated. The update ensures the products' compatibility with the upcoming release of Windows 10 RS4 and delivers min or tweaks and fixes for known issues.

All the Dr.Web products are now compatible with Windows 10 Redstone 4 which is scheduled for release in spring 2018.

New in the Control Service for Dr.Web 11.0 for Windows, Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 10.0 and 10.1, and Dr.Web AV-Desk 10.0 and 10.1:

  • Data Loss Prevention issues have been resolved that could interfere with data recovery or prevent backups from being created if a root directory and its subfolder were specified as different items on the backup list.

New in the Control Service for Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 10.0 and 10.1 and Dr.Web AV-Desk 10.0 and 10.1:

  • A problem has been eliminated whereby in some cases the restriction to limit updating to the databases only was being ignored.

Changes in the firewall for Dr.Web 11.0 for Windows, Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 10.0 and 10.1, and Dr.Web AV-Desk 10.0 and 10.1:

  • A defect interfering with the way network connections were processed if a port value exceeded 1024 or an incorrect IP address was specified in the firewall rules has been corrected;
  • Also eliminated was an issue involving the position of the port input field in the rule dialogue box.

Changes in Dr.Web Firewall Driver in Dr.Web 11.0 for Windows, Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 10.0 and 10.1, and Dr.Web AV-Desk 10.0 and 10.1:

  • A problem preventing IP addresses from being displayed in the network interface parameters under Windows XP has been eliminated.

Dr.Web Net filtering Service:

  • A system performance issue on machines running Docsvision software has been resolved;
  • Also eliminated was a problem interfering with the operation of the default FTP client under Windows 10;
  • A problem preventing a CCTV video stream from being displayed in a browser window while the HTTP monitor Dr.Web SpIDer Gate was running has been eliminated;
  • An issue has been resolved that could cause an increased CPU load after a message was moved into the Sent IMAP folder and the email client was subsequently closed.

Changes in the Scanning Engine for all the products:

  • Optimised memory usage during anti-rootkit scans.

Changes in the self-protection module in Dr.Web 11.0 for Windows, Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 10.0 and 10.1, and Dr.Web AV-Desk 10.0 and 10.1:

  • An issue interfering with disk operations involving cluster shared volumes has been resolved.

Dr.Web Anti-rootkit API changes affecting all the products:

  • Enhanced heuristic protection and detection routines.

Changes in drwbase for Dr.Web 11.0 for Windows, Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 10.0 and 10.1, and Dr.Web AV-Desk 10.0 and 10.1:

  • The certificate and trusted application database has been updated.

The update will be performed automatically; however, a system reboot will be required.
