In the past month, Google Play was found to be the home of a Trojan that allowed cybercriminals to use infected Android devices as proxy servers. In addition, in October the mass media published information on an Android ransomware Trojan that changed the lock screen PIN codes of smartphones and tablets, encrypted user files, and demanded ransom.
