Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated SpIDer Agent for Windows (, the Dr.Web Updater component (, Dr.Web Control Service ( and and Lua scripts for dws-parental-control ( in a number of Dr.Web products. The update resolves known software issues.

Changes made to the agent for Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web Anti-virus:

  • an issue causing certain components and the scanner to appear as disabled in the agent menu when a new key file was added after the current license expired has been eliminated.

Changes made to the updating module:

  • a defect causing an update failure when the ProgramData folder could not be accessed has been resolved.

Change made to Dr.Web Control Service ( for Dr.Web Security Space, Dr.Web Anti-virus, Dr.Web for Windows Servers, and Dr.Web Control Service ( for Dr.Web AV-Desk:

  • an issue that could cause deadlock when the service was terminated has been fixed.

Changes made to Dr.Web Control Service ( for Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 10.1, and Dr.Web Control Service ( for Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 10.0:

  • a problem making it impossible to access removable data-storage devices after Parent/Office Control was removed has been resolved. The update will be downloaded and installed automatically.
