Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated the Lua-Updater module (, Dr.Web Anti-rootkit API (, Dr.Web Control Service ( and, and Lua-script for scan-engine ( in a number of Dr.Web products. Furthermore, the katana-service module ( was upgraded in Dr.Web KATANA 1.0. The update resolves known software issues and delivers minor upgrades.

Specifically, Lua-Updater’s routines for interacting with the Dr.Web update servers have been optimised.

Also, an Anti-rootkit API issue that prevented Windows from loading local user profiles and thus made temporary profiles necessary for system login has been eliminated.

The update will be performed automatically. However, a system reboot will be required for Dr.Web KATANA.
