Dr.Web for Mac OS X updated

Doctor Web updated its anti-virus solution for Mac OS X. The update incorporates several improvements and corrects a number of errors.

Now the program’s updating system supports automatic updating of a key file. With the update Dr.Web for Mac OS X also receives a new license manager that allows registering a serial number via the anti-virus interface. Updating settings are now protected with an administrator password.

Optimized routines of SpIDer Guard contribute to much lower system load while the file monitor is operational. The monitor status indication error and the error that lead to anapplication failure while SpIDer Guard was running have been corrected. In addition graphical interface of the monitor and GUI-scanner has been updated.

Now a user can go to his personal area at Doctor Web’s site right from the anti-virus control centre. With the update Dr.Web for Mac OS X also gets support of the German language.

An error of the drwebd module that occurred during processing of temporary files has been fixed. Redundant authorization requests in anti-virus settings have been removed.

In order to update Dr.Web for Mac OS X the update must be installed over the previous version of the product.
