Corrected updater released

April 5, 2010

Doctor Web announced the release of a corrected updater module incorporated in Dr.Web anti-virus solutions of the 5.0 series. The update affects only 32-bit versions of anti-viruses providing them with the improved algorithm for working with a flag.

The update corrects an error when an upgrade notification window informing a user that he can move to a 6.0 series anti-virus wasn’t available to a user upon invoking the updater and the updating process was interrupted. This issue concerned users of Windows Vista and Windows 7. Now in the packet mode a new version notification is closed in 3 minutes after it has appeared, so virus databases and components of Dr.Web anti-viruses are updated without interruptions.

Dr.Web solutions 5.0 will get the new updater automatically.
