Components in Dr.Web products for Windows and in Dr.Web AV-Desk updated

October 10, 2016

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated Dr.Web Thunderstorm Cloud Client SDK (11.0.1.09293) and the anti-exploit module Dr.Web Shellguard (11.01.04.10030) in Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web Anti-virus 11.0, Dr.Web 11.0 for Windows Servers, Dr.Web KATANA 1.0 and in the Internet-service Dr.Web AV-Desk 10.0. Dr.Web ShellGuard was also updated in Dr.Web Desktop Security Suite supporting centralised administration (part of Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 10.0). Furthermore, the component Dr.Web Security Space, Anti-virus for Windows setup (11.0.8.08260) was updated in Dr.Web Security Space, Dr.Web Anti-virus and in Dr.Web for Windows Servers. The update resolves known software issues.

Specifically, the update addresses a Dr.Web Thunderstorm Cloud Client SDK issue that caused Dr.Web Scanning Engine to terminate abnormally when BlackBerry Device Manager was initialising devices.

Dr.Web Security Space, Anti-virus for Windows setup boasts better integration with Windows Action Center (Windows Security Center) for Windows 8 and 8.1 and can now detect 360 Total Security when anti-virus setup is being started.

The update will be performed automatically; however, a system reboot will be required.
