A Trojan that buys Google Play apps, fake Dr.Web software on iTunes, and other August 2016 mobile security events

Doctor Web is pleased to present its overview of malware detected on mobile devices during August 2016. The month was marked by the emergence of a Trojan for Android that displayed advertisements and could buy software on Google Play and download it onto a device. Also in August, bogus Dr.Web for iOS products were found on Apple iTunes.
