August 22, 2016

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated Dr.Web Control Service (11.0.9.08101), SpIDer Agent for Windows (11.0.8.08160), Dr.Web Scanner SE (11.0.4.201607220), the Dr.Web Updater module (11.0.6.08110), Dr.Web Net filtering Service (11.1.4.07120), the firewall (11.1.3.07291), the anti-exploit module Dr.Web Shellguard (11.01.01.08110), Dr.Web Anti-virus for Windows servers setup (11.0.2.06270), and configuration scripts in Dr.Web Security Space 11.0, Dr.Web Anti-virus 11.0, and Dr.Web 11.0 for Windows Servers. Dr.Web Updater and the configuration scripts have also been updated in Dr.Web 11.0 for MS Exchange and Dr.Web 11.0 for IBM Lotus Domino. The control service, agent, scanner, firewall, Dr.Web Updater, Dr.Web Shellguard, and Dr.Web AV-Desk Agent for Windows setup were updated in the Internet service Dr.Web AV-Desk 10.0. The update resolves known software issues and delivers minor upgrades. The above-listed products and Dr.Web AV-Desk now inco rporate components of the same version.

The control service integrates better with Windows Action Center (Windows Security Center), and an issue involving its abnormal termination after resuming from hibernation has been resolved.

Important agent notifications now include the following message: “Access to the protected object is blocked by Preventive Protection”. The company has also eliminated an issue involving a reboot prompt being displayed before the installation was complete or the list of components was changed.

An issue involving abnormal scanner termination on machines whose CPUs do not support SSE2 has been resolved. Also, the key /quit can now be used to close the scanner once the virus-check is complete. A defect involving redundant statistics being entered has been eliminated.

Also fixed was a scheduled updating issue that interfered with the creation of mirrors in folders with Cyrillic characters in their names.

The update also eliminates defects causing the abnormal termination of the Net filtering Service and preventing a block page from being displayed correctly if the corresponding URL was too long.

The message text in the firewall window showing information about the connections that were established pre-Dr.Web Firewall for Windows startup has been updated.

A compatibility issue between Dr.Web Shellguard and the Kyocera 8001i printer driver has been eliminated.

A Dr.Web AV-Desk Agent for Windows setup problem that prevented it from connecting to an AV-Desk server has been resolved.

The update will be performed automatically; however, a system reboot will be required.
