Components updated in Dr.Web 11.0 for Windows, Dr.Web 10.0 for MS Exchange, and Dr.Web 11.0 for IBM Lotus Domino

July 21, 2016

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated a number of components in Dr.Web products to ensure their compatibility with Windows 10 Anniversary Update and Secure Boot for Windows 10. The update concerns Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web Anti-virus 11.0, Dr.Web Anti-virus 11.0 for Windows Servers, Dr.Web 10.0 for MS Exchange, and Dr.Web 11.0 for IBM Lotus Domino.

The update was made to resolve known software issues and make some internal changes in the following modules:

  • Dr.Web Security Space, Anti-virus for Windows setup (;
  • Dr.Web Net Filter (;
  • Dr.Web device Guard (;
  • Dr.Web File System Monitor (;
  • Dr.Web Hypervisor (;
  • Firewall (;
  • Dr.Web Protection for Windows (, the self-protection module;
  • Shellguard (, the exploit protection module;
  • The Lua configuration script for dwprot (;
  • Dr.Web Scanning Engine (;
  • Dr.Web Anti-rootkit API (;
  • The Dr.Web SysInfo ( utility.

The update has eliminated a scanning engine problem that prevented a Quarantine folder from being created on removable media when a threat was detected. It also fixes a problem that occurred when compromised files needed to be renamed in order to neutralise a threat.

The system information utility is now more responsive when users interrupt data collection.

The update will be performed automatically; however, a system reboot will be required.
