June 22. 2016

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated its virus databases to version 11.0 in Dr.Web Anti-virus 10.0 and 11.0 for Linux; Dr.Web Anti-virus 10.0 and 11.0 for OS X; Dr.Web 10.0 and 11.0 for OS X Server; Dr.Web Anti-virus 6.0.2.9, 10.0 for Unix Server; Dr.Web Anti-virus 6.0.2.9 for Internet-gateways Unix; Dr.Web Anti-virus 6.0.2.9 for Unix mail servers; Dr.Web Desktop Security Suite supporting centralised administration (part of Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 10.0) and in the Internet service Dr.Web AV-Desk 10.0.

The new database format that has been implemented makes the databases more compact and boosts scanning speed (intelligent scanning based on an object’s specific format).

The update, which is 115 MB in size, will be downloaded and installed automatically.
