Components updated in Dr.Web 11.0 products for Windows and in Dr.Web Katana 1.0

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated Dr.Web Anti-rootkit API (11.0.4.201601261) and the Dr.Web SelfPROtect module (11.00.08.01270) in Dr.Web Security Space 11.0, Dr.Web Anti-virus 11.0, and Dr.Web 11.0 for Windows Servers. The self-protection module has also been updated for Dr.Web Katana 1.0. The update resolves known software issues.

An anti-rootkit API issue that could cause system crashes and freezing while the scanner was running has been resolved.

Also eliminated was a self-protection module defect that interfered with the launching of browsers if exploit protection had been enabled on machines whose CPUs didn't support the SSE2 instruction set.

The update will be performed automatically; however, a system reboot will be required.
