New fake online anti-virus looks like Windows Explorer

A new fake online anti-virus has been registered. The supposed anti-virus copies look and feel of Windows Explorer.

The “scanning” process” starts as soon as the site page is loaded. It’s a little wonder that viruses are detected in the user’s system. Once the virus-check is completed, the user is displayed a window that looks exactly like the window of the Windows Security Centre. It offers to cure the system of detected viruses. This window can be moved around the web-page thus adding to credibility of the scheme.

Once again criminals intimidate users with messages warning them that malicious programs may send their passwords and other personal information to an intruder.
