New updating mechanism for Dr.Web solutions for Unix

January 15, 2010

Doctor Web introduced a new updating mechanism for its solutions running under Unix-like systems that will decrease the size of d files downloaded from an updating server significantly.

The new updating mechanism will be used for such products as Dr.Web for Unix file servers, Dr.Web for Unix mail servers and Dr.Web for Internet gateways Unix.

The new compression technologies will make updating Dr.Web products for Unix much faster. Users are not required to do any changes to installed solutions. Compressed updated will be automatically retrieved by the updating module.
