Dr.Web for UNIX mail servers 6.0.2.8 and Dr.Web Office Shield 7.0 updated

August 6, 2014

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated Dr.Web for UNIX mail servers to version 6.0.2.8. The update is also available for the mail server product incorporated into Dr.Web Office Shield 7.0 appliances. It delivers new features and corrects known defects.

New macros provide a wider range of options for mail processing rules. Defects related to mail filtering rules have been corrected.

The header issue (double header, no header, defects that involve moving the header to a new line) that occurred while emails were being scanned by Dr.Web has been resolved.

Defects involving report generation in Japanese and the processing of attachments have been corrected.

OpenSSL, which is incorporated into the program, has been updated to version 1.0.1h.

To update a version of Dr.Web for UNIX Mail Servers that has been installed from the repository, use the package manager. If you installed Dr.Web using a universal package, download the updated distribution and reinstall the application.

To install the update for Dr.Web Office Shield, use the corresponding option in the Software Update section of the appliance's web administration interface.
