Security update for Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite

July 30, 2012

Doctor Web has released a patch for Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite, closing a critical vulnerability in the Web-administrator component.

To install this hotfix, follow the steps below:

  1. Download the hotfix package.
  2. On the computer running Dr.Web Enterprise Server, replace the file audit.ds located in the directory \<Server_directory>\webmin\esuite\administration\ (where <Server_directory> stands for the Dr.Web Enterprise Server installation path) with the file audit.ds found in the downloaded archive.

Note: If Dr.Web Agent is installed in the system, you need to disable Dr.Web SelfPROtect before applying the patch. Backing up the audit.ds file you are going to replace is also recommended. If in step 2 you disabled Dr.Web SelfPROtect, you must restart it after replacing the file.
