Doctor Web and ActiveCloud partnership brings the Dr.Web anti-virus service to corporate customers

February 27, 2017

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web and cloud hosting provider ActiveCloud have collaborated to make the Dr.Web anti-virus service available to ActiveCloud’s corporate customers. The service allows them to use the Dr.Web anti-virus on a monthly subscription basis. This newly available option lets companies establish effective protection for their IT infrastructures at low cost and enjoy the ability to flexibly configure and centrally administer the anti-virus software.

With the anti-virus protecting computers involved in company management, accounting, and transaction processing, businesses are truly secure. Having effective protection against current threats and brand-new malware ensures that an enterprise runs faultlessly and spends less on its IT infrastructure’s total cost of ownership.

The Doctor Web and ActiveCloud collaboration makes this popular anti-virus software available to Russian companies on a monthly subscription basis. With this approach, the Dr.Web anti-virus software is installed on customer desktops, laptops and smartphones similarly to a conventional anti-virus; meanwhile centralised administration over all the settings is facilitated via ActiveCloud’s servers.

As an SaaS solution, Dr.Web software lets corporate users switch from capital expenses in favour of operating expenses, eliminate administration server purchase and maintenance costs, and simplify security software administration.

With SaaS, companies can get a monthly subscription for a selected tariff and manage it in accordance with their current needs, e.g., they can instantly change the quantity of protected devices and pay only for the actual number of connections.

«By using Dr.Web anti-virus software on a subscription basis, companies can optimise their expenses related to protecting themselves from malware and outsiders illegally accessing their corporate information, and strike a reasonable balance between what they spend and the level of security they need. An organisation can easily find a tariff that meets its current requirements", said Ekaterina Pasholikova, Doctor Web’s Sales Manager.

"Dr.Web anti-virus software has a long reputation of being a reliable security solution. With software administered from the cloud, customers can cut their IT infrastructure expenses and enjoy simpler security software administration that provides a "top-down" view of the entire network from a single workspace and makes it possible to promptly adjust their local network’s protection parameters from anywhere in the world", noted ActiveCloud’s Business Development Manager Anton Sandalov.
