Cyber-criminals spread links to the detectivonline.ru web-site using Google AdSense. The site displays a single enter link that can be modified at any time to direct victims to any bogus web-site without actually changing the original Google AdSense advertisement published on sites on which the advertisement program is used.

Currently the link from detectivonline.ru directs users to a malicious site that offers them to read messages exchanged between other ICQ users. Messages sent by other users are supposedly delivered to the “customer” over e-mail.

Criminals emphasize that many bogus web-sites promote similar services but this very site is the only one that provides the service in full.

The license agreement explains to users why the service is provided on a payment basis. The main reasons include the necessity to cover server maintenance, high-speed internet connection and highly-skilled employees’ salary costs. As a matter of fact, all this information aims to provide criminals with easy money.

Criminals luring users into participating in fraud schemes are getting more and more persuasive.
